I started UT development during the spring break of my freshman year
of high school, starting with mapping. I felt I was fairly good at it,
and shortly developed a site dedicated to my maps called Map Vortex.

Shortly afterwards, I started the Perfect Dark mod, the most in-depth
and effort-filled mod I have ever tried. It's status is currently
"development halted", but I plan to return to it some time.

During the Perfect Dark mod development, I picked up almost every
other mod trade: modeling, animating, skinning, coding, etc. And
that leads right to Bond Designs, my new, all-inclusive UT development
site. UDooM is only the second project I have undertaken while working
with other modders.

I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it.

==========

I am a 21 year old Spanish guy that loves DooM.

I am in the 7th Fleet, a clan of Star Trek Star Fleet Commander III
(Rear Admiral), and play a lot of games.

Now I am studying Physics in the UAM University, in Spain. I had a PC since
I was 6 years old, and DooM was one of the first games that I played. I love
it. I remember that when I was very small, sometimes the game was spooky to me.
Meanwhile, I was playing other games (Quake, UT, HL, DukeNukeM, Descent, GunMan,
StarTrek Elite Force), and playing DooM SourcePorts, like ZDooM, ZDooMGL, ZDaemon,
DooM Lengacy, DoomsDay and Risen3d. But I always see that they have some mistakes
and they have a slower FPS than modern games with better graphics, because are
based in a very old engine. Because of that, I had the idea, two years ago, to
make a DooM TC in a modern engine, in the UT engine, that works very well and
has superb multiplayer. I thought to call it UnrealDooM. I tried to work on it
two years ago, but nobody wanted to help me, so I stopped it (only made a buggy
Plasma Gun and a version of Map01 of DooM2, but I lost the map). Some months ago,
I found my old work with the Plasma Gun and I published it on a spanish UT page.
I saw that many people liked it, and I improved the weapon. This time, I found a
forum post from mrbond113 about making a TC / mod of old games. In the post,
Duke Nukem and Descent were mentioned. I thought, "What? No one thought about
DooM". I quickly registered in the forum and made a reply saying that he forget
Duke Nukem or Descent and work on DooM. It was the rebirth of the dream that I had
two years ago.
